Nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Hotel Roanoke is a historic landmark known for its Tudor-style architecture and timeless charm. Originally built in 1882, the hotel has hosted generations of travelers and dignitaries alike. Our team was honored to contribute to its latest renovation, preserving its legacy while elevating guest experience through refined, custom window treatments.

Combining expertise and resources, we tackled one of our largest-scale installations to date: 582 treatments across 1,058 windows. With three different window treatments selected per room—an uncommon choice—we embraced the complexity to deliver a functional, layered, and luxurious finish.

Each room featured a thoughtful combination of drapery, roman shades, and sheer roller shades, selected not only for aesthetic appeal but also for optimal light control and guest comfort. Decorative hardware and exquisite fabrics added elevated elegance, with fabric choices varying room to room based on the interior design scheme. The variety made coordination and installation a puzzle we were excited to solve.
DIFFERENT
Some rooms presented unique architectural challenges, including angled ceilings and historic window frames. For these, our team collaborated closely with the general contractor to develop custom millwork solutions that preserved the character of the building while ensuring a perfect fit. Remarkably, the project was completed with zero punches—every treatment fit and functioned flawlessly from day one.
