By installing flush-ceiling brackets, the amount of space between the ceiling and the drapery is minimized. This is a desirable design if you want to lessen the amount of light that comes through that space. Low Profile brackets are a popular option for flush-ceiling mounts; however, there are limited options for decorative hardware as there is less space for finials.
Finial Options
If you opt to add Low Profile brackets to your design specifications, you would not be able to use larger or more ornate finials such as the Cupola or Ellipse, as shown in our Copia Collection. Considering the Low Profile brackets’ dimensions, it is impossible to install the pole to the brackets with bigger finials attached. The hardware would touch the ceiling and prevent the pole from reaching the brackets. To avoid those issues, you would use a simple end cap style finial (check out our options included in the Copia Collection).

If you prefer the look of decorative hardware, you can use Single Ceiling brackets instead. These ceiling-mounted brackets drop from the ceiling and allow for more space between the ceiling and hardware than the Low Profile brackets. With drop-ceiling brackets, there is a bigger gap available for light to come through.
